How to add the previous year’s medical and paid leave into the app

Whether you have few or thousands of employees, you need to keep track of their remaining medical or paid leave days. You can do this fast and easy with the iFlow app. Forget the old school way of keeping track of employees’ leaves. iFlow gives you a digital online solution to your HR needs. Follow this guide to learn more about vacation and medical leave.

Adding last year’s remaining annual leave days

It’s essential to know precisely how many annual leave days each employee has left from the previous year. Those remaining days need to be given first when your employees ask for a vacation. Let’s start with the beginning. To modify and add remaining annual leave days, you need to have an iFlow app account. If you don’t, follow the link and register for free now. If you do have an account, follow the steps below:

  • Click on an employee’s profile to add annual leave days from the previous year
  • Under the “Paid leave days” panel, click on the “Add” button
  • From the dropdown menu select “Annual leave,” and in “Notes” field you can add extra information
  • Add the remaining days from last year (for example 6 days) and select the year from the dropdown menu(for example 2018)

Now your employee can see his remaining annual leave days from his iFlow profile.

How to add medical leave days in the iFlow app

Medical leave days are different than annual leave days. You don’t have to give your employees a specific number of days in their iFlow profiles. Medical leave days are set like an event, which means you only have to select the start day and ending day. Follow the steps below to add medical leave days for your employee:

  • From the Attendance Worksheet Dashboard, hover over the “Add New Event” button
  • Click the “Medical Leave” option
  • Choose the type of medical leave (for example surgical emergency, work accident, and so on)
  • Add the time interval for it, and the reason, if you have any.

You can check your timesheet now, and see that it has been automatically filled in with the symbol of the medical leave chosen.
